Gingerbread Christmas biscuits, spicy and delicious. This is my version of the classic English Gingerbread biscuits prepared in the winter season and typical of Christmas.
Gingerbread Christmas biscuits
Ingredients:
- 350g flour
- 130g sugar
- 150g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100g honey
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons of ground cloves
- 1/2 sachet of instant yeast
Directions:
- Start by sifting the flour, spices and baking powder into a bowl.
- Then add the sugar, the chopped butter, the honey, the egg and the salt.
- Knead until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Before preparing the cookies, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for an hour.
- Roll out the dough until you get a thickness of about half a centimeter and then make the biscuits.
- Place the biscuits on a baking tray and bake in a convection oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes.
- Let them cool and then place in a tin box to preserve the fragrance of the biscuits.
