Zucchini and salami pizza rolls

Ingredients (10-12 rolls):

  • 1 roll of rectangular pizza dough
  • 100g sliced salami
  • 1 zucchini
  • 100g of sliced smoked cheese (or other similar cheese)

Directions:

  1. Start by cutting strips of pizza dough with the help of a wheel, about 3 cm thick. Cut so that the wheels turn out to be rolled along the shorter side of the pizza roll, in order to get more rolls and that they are not too thick.
  2. Then start placing a few slices of thinly sliced zucchini on a strip of dough, so that part of it protrudes from the upper edge of the roll. Do the same with the salami slices folded in half.
  3. And finally arrange the cheese in strips so that it fits inside the wheel. Make sure that all the ingredients are arranged starting from one edge, leaving 6-8 centimeters free at the bottom of the strip, so that you can seal the wheel.
  4. Start rolling the strip of dough, starting from the end with the ingredients and forming a wheel, sealing the final part well.
  5. Then arrange the wheels in a muffin pan, after having lightly oiled the holes. Then bake in a pre-heated static oven at 200° C for about 18-20 minutes, at medium height. They should be golden, but not too dark.
  6. These wheels can also be enjoyed cold, but if you can consume them immediately or warm them slightly before eating them, they will certainly be even more delicious.
